When I was younger, I wanted to become a model. At least for some period of time. I always admired the beautiful, tall models with flawless skin, staring at me with their ocean-deep blue eyes from my favorite magazine covers. I desperately wanted to look like them. I wanted their smile, their eyes, their breasts... their body. Little did I know that I was slowly developing an eating disorder. Fortunately, I realized how stupid I was soon enough and opened my eyes.</div>

Nowadays, it seems like society is obsessed with determining what the ideal body should look like. The fact is that there is no chance for us to win. One minute we’re told that our bum is too big and the next we need to get it like Kim Kardashian. Oh, but that's not everything, because we can't forget the big breasts and a tiny waist. Not mentioning the thigh gap trend, baby soft skin and white tooth smile. How can we possibly keep up with all these permanently changing ideals? No wonder that so many of us have developed bad eating habits and disorders in an attempt to reach the unreachable! And let's face it, if we don’t fall into these ideals, we are ashamed and therefore we start to feel guilty. We feel ashamed about not being enough. Too fat, too skinny, too muscular...too DAMN judgmental! So many of us spend a big part of their lives treating our bodies as objects to be controlled, and never getting to experience the joy of actually living in them. We often forget that our body is our companion. It carries us and serves us every single day. We don’t wake up and decide to hate our bodies, society teaches us to. Society teaches us to apply labels on people; to judge them by their first appearance without knowing anything about the person beneath the skin. </div>

I'm so tired of hearing ‘not thin enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not this enough, not that enough’. It's time for us to realize that there's NOTHING wrong with us. We ARE NOT numbers on a scale. We are individuals with the right to love our bodies just the way they are with all the nonexistent flaws. Because when I think about it, the idea of body flaws just seems so silly to me. The only real “flaw” is the one in our over-thinking and over-analyzing our appearance. There’s no such thing as only one perfect body. It’s time to throw away the beauty ideals of our society and paint our own definition of beauty. All bodies are worth the love, all bodies are beautiful.</div>

that eating healthy shouldn’t be a chore. Never. You shouldn’t be bothered by your

cooked carrot, spinach and buckwheat salad tossed with green lentils and
raisins and mixed with a tahini, lemon, olive oil and maple dressing. It may
sound like a long title for an easy dish (I admit), but I swear it’s really super

they taste ah-mazing! I soaked them in warm water for a little while to make
them juicier and sweeter, creating the perfect contrast to the savory
ingredients like spinach. The dressing adds a creamy texture with a sweet touch

by cooking the buckwheat by adding it to a saucepan or a pot with 2/3 cup of
boiling water and juice of 1/2 lemon and let it simmer until all the water has
been absorbed.</span></li>

the buckwheat cooks rinse the spinach and in a large pot heat a little bit of
olive oil and sauté 1 clove chopped garlic over medium heat for about 1 minute
until golden but not brown. Add spinach (optional: salt and pepper), toss it
with the garlic and olive oil and cook until all the spinach leaves are wilted.
Put into a medium bowl and set aside.</span></li>
<li><span style="line-height: 115%;">Peel
and grate the carrot and mix it with the green lentils; then add it to the bowl
with spinach.</span></li>
<li><span style="line-height: 115%;">Pace
the raisins into a bowl of warm water and allow them to soak for about 3
minutes, depending on the water temperature – this makes them much juicier and waaaaaay
more delicious! When they’re done, add them to the bowl with other ingredients.</span></li>
<li><span style="line-height: 115%;">Finally,
make the dressing simply by mixing the tahini, lemon, maple and olive oil with
a fork until smooth.</span></li>
<li><span style="line-height: 115%;">When
the buckwheat is cooked, add all the ingredients into a large bowl; pour on the
dressing and mix it all together.</span></li>

with your favorite toppings and ENJOY!</span></li>

once a month. From garden-fresh fruits and vegetables, to baked goods, crafts

2.) Meanwhile,
combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. In another bowl put in the chia egg,
plant-based milk and mashed banana. Mix with an electric mixer until it’s a
smooth mixture. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well.
The final mixture should be creamy (like nana ice cream). If it’s still too
dry, add a bit more of milk.</div>

3.) Preheat
a frying pan to a medium heat and add a little plant-based oil (coconut or

until bubbles appear on the surface and the edge looks more firm, then flip and
allow the other side to cook (for about 2 minutes). Add more oil as needed and
repeat for the other pancakes.</div>

hard one to learn. It may rebuild your whole life from head to toe. It can
change your personality. So frankly, it’s a life-changing skill, which truly
makes your life (completely) different. If you stick to your newly chosen
habits, your life can be transformed and become ridiculously amazing – you can
become (at least partly) who you always wanted to be. How happy or unhappy you
are is a result of your habits. Are you successful? Well done, you tend to have
good habits! What you repeatedly do forms the personality that you portray.</span></div>

of eggnog is almost empty, many people write down their New Year’s resolutions.
Then, on January 1<sup>st</sup>, the action starts. However, after 2 weeks,
we’re back to our old routine, clearly forgotten about our recently made
resolutions. Ouch. So, why is it that we give up so easily and so soon? We are
NO quitters, are we? No no no, we’re certainly not, but we want to make big
changes too fast, which isn’t feasible in, let me say, one month. As we can’t
see the results, we give up eventually. We constantly forget that ROME WASN’T
BUILT IN A DAY! I believe you must practice a habit everyday for a month and
stay as focused as possible</span><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">Remember: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence,
then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle</span><span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">If you want to create some new habits (starting for
example with your New Year’s resolutions), I’m giving you some ideas how to do
it.</span><br />

at a time, is much more likely to succeed than making various huge changes and
trying to do those in a brief period of time. Plus, it’s way easier to start
with a small change, to start simple. A small habit may become your new
“normal” and that’s exactly what you want. You don’t want to run for 45 minutes
the first day you decided you will become a runner. You won’t probably be even
able to make it happen, thus you’ll be disappointed with yourself and you will
rather quit. STOP! Just run for a few minutes or go jogging. Just take on your
shoes and go outside. Over time, you’ll get better and better - because down-to-earth
heroes go for mini change.</span></div>

changes. You say to yourself: “Well, isn’t it easy to start a new habit?” It
certainly is, but sticking to it is rather challenging. One step at time. Only.
If you want to achieve having 10 new habits in the end of the year, try doing
one habit a month. Make a chart and write down which new habit you’d like to create
in which month. Perhaps you want to start with getting up early – work on it in
January! Meditate? Starting February! Exercise 3 times a week in March! And so
on and so on. Pick one habit to build up at a time. Seriously, keep that in
your mind.</span><br />

You’ll less likely skip the gym session if you go with someone else.</span><br />

yourself, “Good work!” Give yourself some credit and enjoy your success. An
action needs to be repeated for it to become a habit, so that means you can
repeatedly reward yourself – WHOOO!</span><br />

these kinds of self-talks. We all are making excuses. You need to be conscious
and stop thinking those negative, discouraging thoughts, if you don’t want to
fail. And you would fail hard if you go the negative way. Think positively.</span><br />

possibility – to start again! We have new hopes and new dreams, but in the end
of the day, it’s only up to us if these dreams will come true. We need to take
action if we want this year to be the best year yet!<o:p></o:p></span></div>

writing a new story this year. In hindsight, the last year was a damn good year.
I traveled a lot. I finally got the opportunity to visit England, Hungary and
Cote d’Azur! I moved to Austria, Linz, for a half year (right now finishing my
semester there), where I met many new people and made new friends. I also am
more independent now, as my family stayed in Prague. I started practicing yoga
and tried meditating (still need to work on that thou). With the help of my
family and best friend I managed to stop my weight problem before it was too
dangerous for me; and now I’m way more satisfied with how I look. And maybe the
most powerful change made in 2014 was becoming more aware of my thoughts and
realizing that thoughts become reality.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

third time’s the charm, right? Just for the record, 3 is my lucky number! So to
make it official, I’m starting a blog. Now. In this moment. I’m determined to
be all in.</span></div>

beauty and light of yoga. The first few attempts felt, to be honest,
uncomfortable. I couldn’t throw my head back and when I tried my neck was
aching. When I leaned forward I was far from touching the ground with my palms.
Whenever I was in a tree pose, I was trembling, falling over, and having no
balance. Yoga is all about balance. Balance within you. In the beginning, it
felt like balance is elusive for me. But later I found out that I need to be
fully concentrated on my body. I AM my body. And in the moment I realized this,
I knew I will find my balance sooner or later. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">
<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">Yoga is a path to clarity, a journey
inside the mind and so much more. Yoga does the good to you.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">And to feel the astonishing delight
that I felt doing yoga last summer, I will take yoga classes once a week and
practice on my own at least two times a week.</span></div>

Meditating could make you happier, more creative, relaxed, less anxious, as
well as improve your memory. Frankly,
meditating even only 10 minutes a day makes wonders. Am I saying “no time”?!
The hell I have time! I can always find those 10 minutes a day. (And so can you
if you want to try it!)</span></div>

It won’t hurt. And you want that booty!<i><o:p></o:p></i></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;"> Stretching is way too important to skip it.
With stretching you can form your body and become more flexible. And that’s my
goal. Also, to be able to do a split. Bang Bang Bang!</span></div>

week once a month. With detoxing I don’t mean juicing and starving myself. I
mean eating only veggies and fruits; drinking green tea, plenty of water and
smoothies (preferably green). I already marked the dates in my calendar so I
can really stick with it. Plus I have a buddy – my mum! This is going to be
fun!!</span></div>

wake up sooner little by little. For example, normally, I wake up at 6am. In
January, I’ll set my alarm on 5:50. 5:40 will do in February. And little by
little I’ll be waking up at 5:15. Thanks to rising early I’ll have enough time
to exercise/run, stretch, prepare breakfast and plan my goals for that day.
There’s no way to start the day better!<o:p></o:p></span></div>

late afternoon. It is essential to stop my cravings for I will feel better
afterwards. Do it for all the benefits and your overall health, not for losing
weight. After 3 pm I stick with vegetables and nuts. (Of course I’ll have a cheat
day on Saturday!)</span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">Recently I made a DIY HAPPY 365 DAYS
JAR, where I write each day one thing that made me happy that day. It’s very easy to do and I assure you, it’ll
be such a good feeling to read all those happy thoughts at the end of the year!

<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">Also, I want to keep a gratitude
journal, where I will each morning write 5 things I am grateful for. I already
did this last year, but with few breaks, but I always felt magnificently
afterwards. Thanks to the gratitude journal I started the day with positive
thinking, which made my mornings utterly magical and filled with many happy
moments. I want to have this feeling every day. It’s worth it.</span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">I shouldn’t skip this one. I want to
put 5 times per week exactly 1 euro to my moneybox, which means by the end of
the month I may have saved 20 Euros. And that is a goodie! Keeping it simple,
but making a progress.</span></div>

<span style="line-height: 115%; text-indent: -18pt;"><u>10. SET GOALS</u></span></div>

<span lang="EN-US" style="line-height: 115%;">Every Sunday, I’m going to set goals
for the upcoming week. I made a board where I put 6 most important tasks I want
to accomplish that week and whenever I success, I put on the corner of the
board and leave the space blank or fill it with another important task. I put
the “goal board” right next to my bed so I can see it permanently, which helps
me to concentrate on fulfilling those goals. I want that board blank on
Saturday! <o:p></o:p></span></div>
